trunk latch (in corro with hatch latch)
so i'm trying to fix my trunk from rattling around(really annoying from inside the car) as it states in the chilton there are these adjustment pins that i can screw in and out to atdjust allignment and tension. well the whole unit wiggles around and still does get tight and i dont see any bolts or anything that tightens down the latch to the lid. its the whole assembly even the key hole wiggles around maybe a 1/8 to a 1/4 inch in all directions. this sucks!

To get my latch to sit snug and not rattle (when it's actually latched, which is pretty much when I'm not driving...) is to wrap the striker with electrical tape. I read somewhere that there's supposed to be a rubber grommet around the striker, but mine just had black tape on it. I took off the old tape, re-wrapped it a little thicker, and it's very snug.
