Any truth...

So im getting ready to install a shift kit and i ordered Royal Purple ATF. I was wondrering if there was any truth about not running a synthetic tranny fluid in these older trannys???

just run it you'll be fine I've run it in my aod ....well at least when it used to have a aod in it and it worked fine.
