Runs okay. Definately needs some adjustments. Timing is off, the igniton not hitting on all 8. While driving it starting cutting out and the Tach was jumping all over. A short somewhere. The guy I bought it from said he knew nothing about it. All he knew was the motor was from a 90 model. I noticed it had an Edelbrock upper and lower intake, different heads(not sure what yet) It really has potential, just needs some TLC.

I know some will say "DO A SEARCH", but I'll ask anyway.

What should I set the base timing to? This, I think, is the biggest problem with it now. (I hope)

Base is 10*.

Don't forget to take the spout connector out when setting base timing.

Is it backfiring at all? That is normally a sign of bad timing...

i just set mine to 12* stock is 10* and yea where are the pics and the info about it..???? and disconnect the spout connector when setting the timing.. the little plug danglin next to the dizzy.

Question, where do I find the engine block code? He said it was a 90, but I want to be sure.

i just picked up an 88 and now i regret it soo much. its been sitting too long and as i look at it i find more and more sh** that needs to be fixed.
