Car is Slow
Ok, i took it out to the track. best time of 15.87 and best 60ft of 2.42. I cant figure out why this car is not running right. im going to scan the car and post codes tonight. im also going to check the tps voltage. What sensor or parts could cause my car to turn into a civic[:'(]??? So if you could please name off everything to can think off. I have checked the MAF.The stock sensor is in a 75mm housing if that matters at all. Btw....these 1/4 times were on bald *** tires. I have recently purchased sub frames,U/L control arms, Tires, and a new Alternator. and they will all be here tommorow

ok guys, here is a question I've been churning it my head for years. Wouldn't bald tires on the track be better than those that still had tread? Wouldn't that sort of be like slicks? Just a thought. Not a substitution for drag slicks, but a little better than treads?

RE: Car is Slow
sorry thought the mods were in my sig. LT headers,O/R x-pipe,1-chamber flows dumped, SVO upper and lower, 65mm TB,CAI,Adj. FPR, Under drive pulleys, and then the bigger MAF Housing. I dont know what brand it is. I looks like a summit one, i did it cuz i bought the housing for ten bucks so i figured it wouldnt hurt.O' no emissons of any type are on the car. Car is an auto btw.

RE: Car is Slow
Given your mod list and your setup (SN95 vert w/ auto tranny) you're numbers are about right. Like I said, with balding tires and no major power adders, you're not going to get too much out of her.
BTW, you may want to get a new MAF or a tune or something. Your MAF transfer must be all out of whack with the stock sensor in the wrong housing.
And just to let you know, I'm not dumping on and I'm not biased against an automatic SN95 convertible... That's what I have. But just expect it to take a little extra cash to get her to run hard.
