Default Stock Heads

Is it worth getting the stock heads machined for daul springs. I can get it done for about 12$ a valve. Thanks-Shaun

no. stock heads are worth.....spitting on.[:'(]go aftermarket if you can afford it or work over some gt-40's

LOL!!. I had sum gt40s but i have the flat top pistons so im kinda limited. unless i change the pistons. which i really cant afford right now.
i need the dual springs fir the cam i bought.Thanks-Shaun

i didnt mean it that way FivePointOhh.
The cam i have is a compcam extreme energy the grind is xe264hr-14.valve lift is .512 for intake and exhaust,

dont even install that cam until you get your head situation figured out. you will lose alot of power all around. you should only install a bigger cam when your heads are outflowing your cam, if you do it the other way around you will not be happy! the stock cam is not a bad cam and ive seen it support around 300hp easily,e7 heads on the other hand.......................

Fivepoint; Time to get out the tool catalog. There is a cutter you can buy frome Crane that come with the arbor that you put in a 1/2" drill and then do them yourself at home.
I've had one for years...
Works good...
I don't think the thing would cost $60 even nowadays.........
I sort of wonder why you need that much cam also....

are you guys sure 1.84 valves from a pair of gt40's would even hit flattops with a .512 lift cam? even if they are the ones without vavle reliefs i would mock up the motor and see what you get.... i'd like to think its possible
