Default H pipe or X pipe?? advise please =D

Ihave a 1989 5.0 California Special Mustang and im getting ready to slap a mid pipe on it.
H-Pipe or X-Pipe??
Ihear H-Pipes lose power after 3500 rpm, and X-Pipes do not..
ThenI also heard that H-pipes are better because they were straight up made for 5.0's...
Help me, someone please!

When it comes to power, there's very little difference between the two. The biggest difference seems to be sound. People often say that the H-pipe sounds a bit better. But if you can wait 24 hours, I'll post a video, LoL. I already have an exhaust clip video posted showing summit headers, an offroad h-pipe, and flowmaster 40 catback exhaust.

I just recently ordered an X-pipe with high flow cats and according to UPS it is sitting on my doorstep as we speak. So I'll have a video of that posted tomorrow (for comparison.)

Which makes more power is a toss up since X pipes dont always. Go with what you think sounds the best.

Because there's still inspection BS to worry about. And I figured it was either that or swap the damned things out every year, LoL. Call it laziness They're high flow anyway, so I'm not expecting a huge power loss or anything.

I just installed a Bassani catted X pipe a week ago, and love it. I can't get enough of it. There was no loss of bottom end--in fact, I gained noticeable power from off idle to 6k. The pipe sounded a little strange when I first put it on, but continues to sound better and better every day. Now, I think it sounds awesome! It's not too loud, but let's everyone around you know you're there. Great investment.
