After I turn off my car it makes a whistling noise for like 3 seconds or so under my hood than the sound goes away like it's releasing air out, but i'm not sure where by the time I pop the hood the sounds already gone. I also hear once in a while when i'm driving but not every time?This started after I had a local shop install a1" intake spacer.........

mine does the same exact thing...i think its a vaccum leak cuz mine idle is high then low then high its weird, and it bucks on part throttle acceleration.

My car seems too idle fine it dosent jump around but I noticed that the guy forgot to put the PVC valve in, So I reinstalled that and that's when I started really hearing this noise after I shut the car off the air leak whistle sound ...........

Mine does that too. I havent noticed it lately, and when my car was in the shop the mechanic noticed the pcv valve was out. So mine might be gone now. Next time I'm driving I will check if it still does it.

Sounds like it could be the brake booster leaking out!

You know, I've had this whistling noise under my hood for like 4 years now. It does it while it's running though.

When i first read the topic about whistling noise i was gonna say it was the stock supercharger

Mine does it also when it runs and a few seconds after I shut it off, it started after I upgraded my cai and throttle body

LOL! You know i'm in the works on a deal for a Vortech Centrifugal Supercharger kit so I guess I should get use to hearing that sound! "Whistle" I checked all the hoses for leaks and everything hooked up right I just don't get it........"Oh Well"
