can a stock coil lay on its side or does it have to be up and down?

You can mount it upside down if you want to.

thanks man, i havent had to use a stock coil in awhile lol, my 6al started on fire while i was driving it yesterday and it took my blaster 2 out as well so i am putting in my dura spark 2 and stock coil in so i can use my car until i get my new 6al and blaster coil.
