1) not true about the defroster. i wouldn't let that person throw away your old oil let alone give you advice anymore.
2) everything can come off, you'll need a tool to remove the lines though , cheap at kragaens or pepboys
3) if i remember , you can use the old bolts, but call "total performance" in clinton twp MI , thats where that kit came from, they are the motorsport tech facility, i don't have the number but google them for it, ask them for tech help

that kit makes the car like a factory non-ac car, so a pic is worth a million words, see if you can find one, it's simple, but only after you see a pic. the PS pump moves up where the ac was

on fords the ac turns on when you defrost so it will not work as well as it did if your ac was funtional. i thought about removing my ac then it got hot outside.

Call me crazy but i thought defrostersused engine HEAT not ac to work... making that the reason they take time to kick in. And as for that special line tool.... F that use tin snips and cut the lines in half. Unless you intend on reinstalling it somewhere down the line? Ill take some pics if i remember later of what it looks like with the non-a/c brackets.

the only reason that the ac comes on when you turn on the defrost is because it removes moisture from the air which help it defrost much quicker. it's to remove the fog from inside of windshield.

i never noticed the ac kicking on when the defroster turns on, but as far as "messing" up the AC is totally bogus.

a non AC car defrosts just fine, and so did my '89 when i used that exact same kit
