How much horsepower can a stock fuel pump handle?
I think my car should run mid to low 12s with the mods I am currently doing. I will be running 30lb injectors, and a BBK fuel pressure regulator. Will my stock fuel pump be starving my motor?

well first of, not that we dont believe you or anything but, what mods do you exactly have that you think that you'll be running 12's? cuz 12's with 100% stock suspension and 12's on a good susp setup will make a bit of a difference. but sorry i personally dont kno what hp(ish) the stock pump will allow. either way a new pump is only about $100 so why not?

upgrade to be safe. especially if you plan on using any nitrous or force induction of any type

a stock pump will allow you to go 12's no probs as long is it is still good
a 20 yr old stock fuel pump w/ 125k is probably far from good but who knows, you do NOT need 30 lb inj on a 300 hp car, the entire stock fuel system will support over 300 hp. and thats all it takes to go 12's
but again, list your mods and go from there, and as stated b4, for cheap insurance spend the $89 for a 190 pump, then you know you can dip into the 11's

It depends on how he got to that 300 horsepower, supercharger maybe? Yeah he's going to need more fuel pump and more injector.

well dont quote me on this, but ive heard that a stock fuel pump is very capable of handling up to 500-550 horses, but like the earlier posts said if its a good one, also imo, like the earlier posts said, spend $100 or so and buy at least a 190 or step up and go 255 so that youll be for sure. considering your gonna have the fpr, you can tune it down so that its drivable.
