does anyone know if it is possible to make the power seats in a 2005 gt work in a fox. im lookin at buying a set of 2005 gt black leather seats but if i cant get the drivers power to work then i can make it adjust back and forth. what do you think?

i know my GT has power lumbar or something like that. i would think that you could splice that connector and use it for the seat motor. MAYBE

I was interested in doing this swap too i dont care about the power seats i just want to find a way that i can mount the seats to a bracket that will fit in my 88 if i have to ill just use a passenger side seat that doesnt have power. electric seat motors are just another thing that can break

Anything is possible with the right level of enginuity and ability to fabricate I was at a show 2 weeks ago where I saw a 2000 S-281 that had custome 2-tone leatherupholstered seats in it from an 86 GT - complete with the halo headrests!! It was so well done, they looked like they belonged in there from day one. He even utilized the factory seat controls for 2000 to operate the 86 seats.....he mounted the control board on the side of the tranny tunnel on the plastic interior pieces. VERY well done [sm=hail.gif]

Yes, they will fit and work! The only thing you have to do is either swap ends on the electrical connector or just cut them and splice them direct. The 95 seats have the exact same plug as the fox has in the car, so basicly you have 2 of the same connectors. You can cut the end off your old seat and splice that to the end on the floor , or hope that your new seats come with the plug end from the donor car. They are a direct bolt in tho other that that. I'd post a pic of mine, but I am too lazy to go out and take a pic right this second!LOL

my car does not have power seats right now so if i bring a power wire over all i have to do is splice it to the connectors on the seat?

I think it is a 2 wire plug. Not sure if they are both power feeds or a feed and a ground. Have to look it up in the schematics.

You absolutely sure the 05's will work.You know, like first hand knowledge. I know for a fact up to 04 will. Reason I say this is the bodies changed from 04 to 05. Whether the seats are still the same is unknown to me.
