swap to carbed 302?
I want to find a 4-cyl. fox body and put a carburated 302 in it. Am I going to have to use any of the computer either from the 4cyl or a 5.0 car? I know the susp., rear and trans issues, but I am not sure about hooking up the 302 electrically.

been there done that conversion!!! you can gut the whole efi harness and computer you pnly have to cut 3 or four wires total and those are right by the firewall by the master cylinder a tan conector plugs in there and goes to the fuse box...anyway from that connector is your 12 volts switched ignition feed wire for the ignition components and all your sensor feed wires for the instument cluster gauges easy to do!!!

yes because the stock pump puts out 35-40 psi...I've seen alot of people get away with doing that but I'd remove the stock pump and put a piece of tubing in it's place because if you don't employ a return system on the above set up all you may succeed in doing is burning up the stock pump in short order....I'd install a holley blue or red pump at the back

Thanks, man! OK, here's what I want to do. Take a 4cyl hatch or coupe (haven't decided yet), throw in a 70's 302 with an Edelbrock top end kit, get a used T5 rebuilt, used rear rebuilt, good control arms, springs, axels (5 lug), and some Pony wheels for a sleeper touch.
Do I need to upgrade the brakes? Are they the same as the 5.0's? Where could I get the parts from if I can't find a 5.0 stang to pull from?
