RE: ticking in head
well i had that same thing in a trans am and it was a bent push rod that means not fun to fix.

RE: ticking in head
dang...i had a feeling it was gonna be something like that...what would cause it to bend and why didnt i lose power?

RE: ticking in head
Here's somethign simple to check.. make sure all of your header bolts are tight. That heppened to me after installing some BBK headers... the bolts loosened themselves up and could hear an awful tick from the engine because of just 2 bolts being loose.

RE: ticking in head
it might not be bend..just pop the cover off and give them all a snug....since u just put the top end back together it just probably broke in and a rocker loosened up enough to cause a tap when it hits the rod

RE: ticking in head
yea that could be it too
|
RE: ticking in head
might be a header gasket also, or a loose bolt, happens alot more then you think:eek:

RE: ticking in head
im guessing one of your rockers are loose, get lock tite and put it on all your rocker bolts for safe measure.

RE: ticking in head
def check ur header bolts b 4 you do anything else could just be an exhaust leak..
