Default rear end

how do i take it out? what size wrenches do i need, how many bolts? how do i tell what size rear end i have i got an 83 and i think they had 7.5inch rear ends

I HAVE AN 89 IM GOING TO USE FOR PARTS SO WHAT EVER I NEED TO TAKE OUT OF THAT CAR TO PUT INTO THE 83 I NEED TO TAKE OUT

18mm socket/wrench to get the control arms off and a T55 torx to get the lower shock bolt off

Dont forget the driveshaft bolts and the rear brake lines on top of the axle. Dont remember what size those take.

Before you finish tightening the control arms make sure the car is on the ground first with the bolts a bit loose. Dont let the axle hang free and then tighten the bolts or the bushings can bind.

Rear upper control arms to body = 100-105ft-lbs
Rear upper control arm to axle = 90-100 ft-lbs
Rear lower control arms to body = 100-105 ft-lbs
Rear lower control arm to axle = 90-100 ft-lbs

Shocks/quad shocks = ? im not sure.

oh yea...thanks...the driveshaft bolts are 12mm 12 point...can't remember the brake lines...

already got the drive shaft off, but the 83 has a newer motor init. do ihave to take the rear wheels off
