idle low and kills

I've got a 90' GT with a 5 speed and whenever I am downshifting sometimes the car will die. When the car is at idle it goes from 500 rpm to 700 and is not smooth. I have replaced dist cap, plugs, wires. Any ideas of what to check next? Thanks for your help!!

Clean mass air, clean throttle body, clean IAC, and reset base idle. Also check for vacuum leaks.
