some one blowing smoke up your *** but congrads on the install. gears only howl when they are setup wrong. a properly setup gear wont howl. also you clutches will have wear on them may not be alot but they will show wear. also with those gears you better be looking for 13s if you can drive. stangs run 14s bone stock!!!!

IT's just me but I would have replaced all the bearings, clutches and seals while I was in there...in fact I did.

There was no reason to replace them, they were not worn.. I am hopeing for low 14's, I don't know about 13's... Mustangs DO NOT run 14's stock at LACR.. Even if you are the best driver in the world, you will only hit 14's stock with slicks. I ran a 15.6 at LACR, Stock, with the exhaust and CAI I ran a 15.2, I'm now hopeing for a low 14, because I thought I could have improved on that 15.2 that night, but I only got to run a few times. 13's will be reachable after a few more upgrades, like manifold, t/b and MAF... Should be WELL into the 13's after my AFR's and 1.72 roller rockers, maybe a high 12? BTW that will be with street slicks and drag shocks/springs.

Ill let you all know on Wednesday.

[sm=exactly.gif] It was a little bold to say that mustang run 14 stock... An i believe he will run mid 14s as a safe guess i think that he may get a couple lower 14 sec times if he can improve on his 60' times... 14s are almost impossible at LACR if the stang is not weight reducted pretty heavily with some slicks and i dont consider that stock... ( the engine and chassis are but its not factory)

I would say buy some Under drives. 66 bucks from JDsperformance, or maybe a cold air intake.

I already have the CAI, see in my sign? I am still pondering getting underdrive pulleys, but I have to pay car insurance today I forgot about that, so I will have to wait until next week! maybe then I will get a MAF, or TB..

You got that right about LACR, I have a pretty good modded mustang, gears, full exhaust, lots of suspension, subframes, cai, lots of mods, and I could only pull 14.6, But at seal level and good track Id be 13's. Also at LACR Corvettes run low-mid 14's the track conditions and altitude there. So if I ran at a different track Id be mid 13's and low 13's with slicks.
So 91hatchGT is right about the track he should be low-low 14's with his mods.
