Default Timing

I want to make sure i am adusting my timing corectly. First what is the stock timing, and with the conecter pluged in what is a good timing for a H/C/I car?

10 degrees is initial with spout out and with spout in what ever computer decides usually somewhere around 20 but that changes with rpm and heavyload

Ok so with the spout out its at 15 and with it in its at 20 at 750 RPMs. Its that good or do you think i should have more?

Start at 10 (which is stock)...Then advance it until you are happy.

Once it starts pinging/backfiring...that is too far.

14-18 is normally safe....just make sure that you are putting in high octane gas.

most people like it aroud 14 degrees initial ....anywhere from 13 to 15 is fine but with the initial more advanced you usually have to run premium gas about 93 coctane to avoid pinging/detonation.

ok i have H/C/I and its set at 15 with the spout out. I had it a bit higher there was no pinging but it wouldnt idle. It kept stalling.
