Default Stiff Clutch

Peeps,

What can be done to soften a stiff clutch. I have a King Cobra Clutch and it is super super stiff. It's really hard to press. I mean I knew it was going to be hard, but it's impossible to press.

Stock cable/quarant? I always heard KC clutches were notorious for being hard and snapping cables. So be careful [:@]

I never understood that b/c its advertised as being 10% less pedal effort than stock. If you have the stock cable and quadrant installing new ones might make it a lil easier to press.

They DO advertise that it's 10%-15% softer than stock clutch. Which is why I bought it. It's the stock clutch cable. So I'll get me a new adjustable cable with quardrant. Any suggestions on a name brand?

Most quadrants are built the same....with the exception of the double/tripple pickup.. I went with an Anderson, but hear Steeda is one of the best. Also, make sure you get a kit with the firewall adjuster, makes life easier.

I've always preffered a stiffer clutch, makes it feel like more of a "muscle" car...

Anyways, just installed KC with Steeda cable kit and its alot softer than stock. Definitely try another cable/quadrant
