Rebuild shopping list

I'm preparing to rebuild my engine for the first time. I'm gettin the E-303 cam with 1.7 roller rockers. my question is should I get hardened pushrods? I plan on running this rebuild for a long time. Would this be a smart move or a waste of money? thanks

the hardened pushrods would last along time but i dont think u need them for a e303 cam & 1.7 rockers, maybe overkill, unless u plan on doing more mods in the future.

There is lots lots more to come. I was also lookin at some timing chains. would something like that be smart?

yeah a timing chain would be smart, try a double roller like edelbrocks, the stock one is weak and stretches it is recomeened to replace it 50,000 miles

Wow, 50,000 miles. My engine has about 120,000 plus it had nitrous on it for about 50,000 of that.

might as well take the block to a machine shop, and also port the heads and intake while your at it

Might rethink the cam, heard that a lolt of people are dissappointed with their e-cams... Maybe like a 268H or something, if you are looking for a good Mild cam.
