Guys I was racing a 409 MTI Stroker Z06 when I missed 4th gear ( beat him by half a car) on the dope. My car had a big back fire and though my car runs fine... it will not idle below 3,000 rpm. Do you have any clues? My car starts right up and idles fine, there is no knocking or obvious vacuum leaks ( my thought). Please help!

First try unpluging the IAC and turn the car back on

what is the IAC? Also I was at around 5800rpm and it did not hit the rev limiter! Remember that I drove the car home and it accelerates fine now.....

you talk about running a 150 shot in another thread, and you don't know what an IAC is?

i dont always assume the worst. i'm simply trying to eliminate things by asking the exact conditions. any good service advisor would do this. man i hate them.

What is the IAC? I do have a 150 shot of gas by Cold Fusion and it was done at Fast Lane Performance in houston. It has a new mass air flow sensor andignition system.

when were those parts installed? before the idle problem, or after, to try and fix it.
