Default Need Transmission help !!!

Well this is the second time i have had to put a clutch in this car the firt time was about 5-6 years ago and went alot easier. its a '93 5.0 with a manual tranny Ive got the thing pretty much back together but I cant get it to fully mate up with the engine it seems as if its binding somewhere and I dont want to strip out the bellhousing bolt holes. from what Im reading on here I think it wuol be easier to pull the trans back out seperate the bellhousing from it and mount that to the engine then mount the trans to the bellhousing ???

Thoughts.......

The way I always do it is I bolt the clutch up then the bellhousing seperate from the tranny then slide the tranny in it's a whole lot easier this way and put anti sieze on the splines and tip of the input shaft to aid in sliding in also the input shaft bearing retainer

if it's the last 1/2" your having trouble with.......have someone inside the car and press the clutch in for you

i have long tubes....so i ALWAYS do bellhousing separate from trans
