Hell, I'd be happy with 14's and I think that's pushing it with my car.
Dbeck my man, it sounds like you need two stangs, one for the street and one for the serious racing.
Unless like grabbem88 said, you don't care how radical it is and drive it one the street anywho.
instead of the 331, why not go 347? it might make your quest a little easier. Just a thought.

ORIGINAL: import slayer
The HP required to run 10's, which is approx. 500-600HP in a foxbody chassis, [b]will[b] require more than 24# injectors.

I am with the guys up top you are gone to have to REV the crap out of it and even with good parts you are gone to need a good block cuz. RPMs break blocks sould I say even more then big HP numbers.you could run 10s with a 306 if you get the combo right BUT it wont be very much of a street car and getting 15mpg I really dont think so.now a 331 with some small boost, turbo or s/c and a shift at 6000 rpm and less and I would say 10s would not be so hard and it should last for a few years giving you dont abuse it.

Also, you will need at least 42# injectors for that kind of power
