^^ well i dont know what you had in there before but i have a E cam and on my dyno chart it pulls strong up to 5200 rpm and does not drop off, just levels. the low end is good but its like a 25shot of n2o at about 3500rpm. my car pulls hard all the way through. i dont know how high you want to send your rpms but if its past 5500 rpm to get your peak power your going to have to make other modifications to your cars engine.

i would REALLY do some research about different cams and your set up. the simpler the better. you dont need and those heads cant generally support high lift and decent durration cam.

joel50 is right. its not about the lift. the duration is what will make your valves and pistons collide and alow more air and more fuel to be brought in. i guess lift can compinsated for duration some what, but do your homework.

PS. my brothers car dynoed at 331rwhp with an E303 and afrs.and 10.1 CR. its not a BAD cam as everyone thinks.

Crazy so the alphabet cams are for kids but the edelbrock is so so? You do realize the edelbrock cam is an overpriced e cam.

It's a turbo car. That makes it much more forgiving to junk parts. All you have to do is crank it up.

the heads are the only real thing that i'm dealing with. if the gt40s won't do much over .500 lift, then i'll get the e cam, but if they will handle around .512 then i'll snag a f cam.

You're worrying too much on peak flow numbers....and that's what they are, just numbers.... Regardless of the fact they're not too good in the flow "@.500" lift department", there are other factors you need to look at. Either choice, make sure that valve train (springs, retainers, etc) is upgraded though.

i understand that and agree but my point is there's plenty of cams...custom grinds included... they will never get you that much power out of a 302 based combo....turbo/sc/nitrous or not
