Default still overheating

i have an 88 mustang that still overheats. I have replaced the radiator with a ford racing aluminum 2 row radiator, went to a new t-stat, ran 80% water with a bottle of watter wetter. I also replaced the fan clutch about a year ago. The temp will continue to rise anytime im at an idle, or at a slow speed. Anytime i am at a faster speed it will cool down real quick.

The water pump was relpaced sometime before i purchased the car, but makes no noise and does not leak.

Sounds like a fan/clutch problem. What temp is it running at?

try more of a 50/50 or 60/40 mix of coolant vs water and possible replace fan clutch as Pro says

Well the fact that it cools as you drive says some type of flow problem. Make sure there is no debris in front of the radiator. You do have a shroud on it correct?

i just replaced the radiator sunday, there is no debris in front.

The only things that i can think of is the fan clutch, a head gasket or head bolt, or my water pump. i don't know much, so someone help me eliminate some of these

Did you replace the radiator cap? Sounds silly, but a bad cap will raise the temp of the overall system.
