the bigger you go (lower number that is), (like said above 16-18 Ga.), the better the power is to get to the speaker and it will sound better

the 6x8 is an inch smaller than the 6x9.

5x7 and 6x8 are the same.Not sure about your year but its probally 6x8 or 5x7 and 6x9 most likely wont work

I run Alpine R series all around, 2 4 inchers in dash with base blockers, 2 5.5's in the doors, and 2 5x7's in the back. These are all amped by 100 watts and I had to get a sub just to make it sound balanced with all those highs. But it sounds better then anything you will get from any factory car. I don't listen to the radio any more because you can actually hear how low the quality is. I can even tell a difference between my XM and CD's, which are a higher bit rate.

Look into the focal seakers on cartoys. I had the plesure of hearing these, and the imaging is friggin great! Like said before, I don't belive the doors even have holes for them, so get a set of kick panels that have bump outs for 5 1/2 - 6 1/2's or so.

GO TO MILLIONBUY.COM screw these guys i got a 15' subbin in my trunk of my vert 89' watchu know about that u need 3 ways. 4 ways are garbage. 3 way or 2 way dont get none of the no name brands dont get pioneer speekers. id go with DIAMOND component speakers for the front and 6x9 pyramid or somthing

i bought my car n it had no stereo deck in it, i looked through the speaker grilles and saw the kid put eclipse in the back, boston in the doors and rockford in the dash. i got a pioneer cd player now, n just hooked up my jl sub. i have not heard a louder system. it will blow out ur ears.
