That is why I am so glad Gainseville is only 30min away. Also without a couple of hours is 3 other 1/4 mile tracks and 1 1/8.

running 12's on their track is almost like hitting 11's on a good one. plus unless you are running some big super high flowing heads and a BIG cam then a 750 carb setup is too big for a short block.

That is what i was thinking.. it is not going to be a heavy set up because it is going to be a daily driven car... i am already stretching the use on the highway with the 4.11s but it should be fine because me and 91hatchgt run his on the freeway and it does quite well... so i think it should be a fun daily driver and weekend drag car... Besides next after this i have to start on the suspension, interior, and get it painted... So far the project is coming along very well though... I actually just got this car on the road about 6 months ago.. I had to build the thing from the ground up with a limited supply of money (if you know how that goes).. I got the car as just the rolling body and i had to do the electrical, brakes engine, trans, body work and primer, some interior, and new wheels and tires.. (this was all done in my driveway on some jack stands) so it has been a slow process and alot of back aches...LOL.. But ya that is just a little piece of the whole story.. it has been fun and rewarding though...

Yes take the heads off check piston, rings, and take the oil pan off and check to make sure everthing is Torqued properly. You would be surprised at how many are wrong. Example CHP 331 in my buddies 94GT broke a connecting rod because it wasn't tighten correctly, and he doesn't race it but he does drive the car everyday.
