If you tossed your smog pump you can ditch that "canister"
Where does the vacuum line that goes through the firewall go to? What is the little solenoid for?
the vac line that goes though the firewall is for your a/c ducts control the solenoid by the canister??? what year we talking here..??
88 GT, can I route the vacuum supply directly to the solenoid and dump the canister?

Everything fit okay except the steering shaft. As you see in the picture the flex joint is not straight, it is deformed about 1/2" (too short by 1/2") Maybe I will take everything back loose and make for #### sure the K member is all the way back (holes in k member are slotted). If for some reason the K member is not back all the way I will also have issues with the engine and transmission mounts. Got to get this finished up the block and internals will be back from Machine shop on Friday.

Man I hope I don't run into this problem. I'm in the process of doing the exact same thing to my 1990 GT.

Do you have the tubular K member already? Are the holes for the spring perches slotted?
