Default body allignment

ok so i repaired my trunk lid the other day. it use to wiggle alot and i found out a peice is actually missing that hold between the lock assy. to the deck lid iteself and its pop riveted into place. so now that its done i put it back on, the allignment was never good on it so i tried my best to get it on correctly but here is my problem. my Y and Z axis are perfectly in line but my X axis is off. look at the deck lid the left side only has about 1/8" from lid to quarter panel and the right side has about 1/2" from lid to quarter panel. how to you adjust X axis? i dont believe the arms themselve that hold up the trunk move and there is now slide adjustment or anything on the torsion bars or the anything. any tips would be greatly appriciated, let me know if you need pictures but i think i explained it pretty well.

There should be little bumpers on the lid that screw into it. Just turn them until it lines up. Be sure that it still latches though. You my have to move it also.

Sounds similar to the way my hatch was when I tried to get it lined back up right. Mine was sagging in the top corners. When I got it flat again it sat to one side a bit but the spacing was even. Spent a lot of time trying loosen and adjust things. To fix it I ended up having to open the trunk then shoved it over by hand and the gap on both side evened up. Apparently the hinged arms had gotten bent a little at some time and I just bent them back, has worked fine ever since.
