i adjusted the rockers by turning the engine over till the lifters were at zero lift, or with my eyes i saw they were all the way down then tighted them till no slop in the pushrod and did a 3/4 turn, after i did this for the rest of them, a couple of the rockers would come a bit loose but would tighten back up as i turned the engine over by hand, i dont know if this is normal as it is my first time doing it?

Double check your firing order.

Also, pull a few plugs out to see if they are damp from fuel so you know you are getting fuel to the cylinders.
