HI,
My alternator stoped working last night and now my battery is dead. I need to change it. I was looking on specialized forums and I saw different amps for alternators(200, 130, 95, 75). Witch one would be okay for my 89 gt and why do you need a big one?

A bigger alternator lets you use more electric accessories like a big stereo, electric fan, etc.

Ecxactly..I got one brand new and installed for $180.. But i know someone.. I could of done it but im lazy sometimes. lol.

I use one from a f150 it's under 75.00 bucks and give me about 95-105 amps
