Default uh oh

so I hopped in my 86 for a quick trip to the bank, get to the last turn and suddenly, I lose steering response WHILE making the turn[:@], thought great, she stalled, look down see my rpms at 1200, i yell "F*&^!!!!!" go to the bank, found out I have 0.00 in my account, yell some more, then say f*ck it and drive home, pop the hood see the belt dangaling.

It was less then 2 miles, and mostly coasting, started smelling burnt coolant, my gauge never went over L in normal, just wonder what I should check for after she cools down.

You should be ok if she didn't overheat......need to find out why the belt decided to take a hike. Tensioner or bad/loose pulley?? Maybe just a bad belt.....

Check your coolant level and make sure you aren't leaking any coolant.
