i will be runing something close to yours. PP gtp heads, 1.72 rockers, 221/225 .494/.503 cam, gt40 E intake, .542 springs...etc... when using these heads it will increase CR up to 9.6 or so. actually some shorty unequal headers will work with gtp heads. also you can just get different plug wires so they clear.

What's the lift with the 1.72 rockers? I'd worry it would be to high with that cam

The specs they give you for the cams are usually with 1.6 rockers. The 1.7 rockers are a way to add more lift without changing the cam.

Im have the same setup except im using 1.6 rockers and it works fine.. I use a E- cam also. Stay with the ford motor sport headers trust me. Im close to 300 hp i have never been on a dyno but with my trap speed i have to be close. To be honest the GT40p heads are gonna impress you.. dont be suprised when you beat guys using much more expensive setups at the track. Only draw back with the P heads are the stupid header issues but once you have some good ones there isnt anything to worry about. If You use a E-cam with these heads expect to run low 13s to high 12s. All depending on the wieght of your car ,also make sure you using a 5 speed. You can see my setup below and you can clearly see i can run a 12.6 with suspenison or even a MT drag radials. Well good luck man if you have some questions shot them my way ok. Ill help as much as i can!

Whats the deal with header issues, Im going to be buying an engine soon, and Im looking for ways to save money. I need a block that will handle 500-700 hp at the crank, and some good internals including 8.5-1 compression pistons b/c im running either KB S/C or a Turbo setup. Any good ideas? Sorry to hijack the thread, lol.
