besides.. the pressure would go right through the air filter and out to the open. it wouldn't be "forced" like a closed system...

It's not unmetered because he's spraying it before the MAF. This may have a slight affect actually. I think that the rapidly expanding air may "freeze" the MAF and make it think more air is flowing in. So it may run a bit richer and get slightly more power. Not sure if it would work in reality though.

why dont you just plumb your airconditioner vent into your intake and get clean 40 degree air into your engine. should be good for at least 15 hp. never mind the fact that spinning the compressor eats up 15% of your hp. -----look if you wana do that then buy one of these, itll work better than a compressor and add a smidge of positive manifold pressure. not to be an ***, but your idea will do nothing good for hp.
