Default is it worth a shot?

im thinking of hooking up a small compressor and a air tank in the trunk, and see if i can make a couple extra ponies by shooting it into the intake before the maf. ill have it big enough to last atleast 15seconds and give good air volume. has anyone heard of someone doing this and it not doing crap?

btw is the cobra diff. 31 spline? im gonna need a new one, i got a one tire fire now, thanks to the sticky mickeys.

It won't be enough volume to make a difference unfortuanetly. Maybe a 60 gallon tank with a 4 inch pipe going to the intake but that may cause more problems then anything.

Compressed air has moisture in it, I wouldnt think it would work to well. Forcing unmetered, unfiltered air into your intake would not be a good deal.

actual the small amt of moisture wouldn't hurt a thing and could burn off some carbon buildup

well i want to put 31's in there, stock is 28, and i was told the cobra diff seems to take alot of abuse and wasnt to expensive.

yea the compressed air thing seemed to just sound good but i wasnt looking for a s/c effect, just some extra air getting to the motor, i figured if i could get 10-15hp, why not lol
i could blow it into the filter if moisture was a big issue but it would be better if it was straight into the tube before maf so its metered. it was just a thought, if i get bored one day and got a couple extra bucks i might try to rig something up just as a test and see if i get any seat of pants results, or maby my tweecer can tell me something.
