Default Fuel Tank Question

Okay, I have an 85 5.0L Stang that I'm going from a CFI to a carb swap. Now I need to put the sending unit in the tank along with the pump. There were two different tanks depending on whether the car was a CFI or a carb. Does anyone know the exact difference between the tanks? Does anyone know if I can put the sending unit in the CFI tank (will it bolt on okay)? If not is there anywhere I can get an after market sending unit that would work? Thanks for your help (I really do need it)!

Default RE: Fuel Tank Question

if your going carb, get an aftermarket pickup tube. you dont need an in tank pump, in fact, a holley blue pump would be perfect for you

He is correct. I run the holley blue....plus the magna fuel, but that is another story.
