ok about me and my car im 19 i work my *** off and now i own a mustang i bought a 86 gt with a four speed its got agood body very lil rot easy fix but somthing i dont know about and thats 4 speeds.
which leads me to qu #1
1. wen i shift and im not dead on with the gear mainly goin from reverse to first the shift handle can get stuck between first and 3[:@] or just puting it in to first is a challeng does anyone know what this might be and how canit be fixed ?????????

86 GTs didnt come with 4 speeds[&:] did you swap it out?

anyway, the shifter might need adjustment depending on tranny, and shifter

nope i bought it like that it has some tacks and the guy i bought it from realy never drove it he had the car 6 monthes was buying a has and wanted some spending chash but what i got from him is that the owner before him took it to the track all the time andhe gutt the in side of the seatseverything he dident need right down to bare metalthere's a track inspected sticker in the window for 2006so i dont know but some one startedcutting a small rot in the hatchback hood and other then that there no dents theres a fiberglass crowl 2.5 inch hood and the engine lookes like it had been powerwashed its realy clean under the hood no leaks nothing just a tuneupfrom sittingand a muffler fix and i think ill have a great car
and what tops it all off I BOUGHT IT FOR 320

Should have a 5 speed, try adjusting the clutch where it bolts to the clutch fork under the car

Actually if you have stock cable just pull the clutch pedal up and listen for a click

thanks i'll check that out me and my buddy are going start fixing this in the next weekends wen it dosent rain so keep the awnsers comen thanks guys ill post more qu'z wen they come up
