RE: supercharged mustang heat problem!!
What's your timing set at and how much boost? You probably will need a tune, my s/c fox gets hot but only when I get on it, if I stay out of the boost it's fine. I need a tune also. It could be just all the hot air being huffed into your motor also. Let me know if you find a cure.

I have pretty much the same set up as you, and i noticed today that when i get on it and hit the 8psi mark it will get to 210 or so and then when i slow down or come to a complete stop it will return to 185/195 maybe even 200, which is what i want... i do get a back fire, when i launch from first to second.. i need a tune...iam going to lay off the boost.. i thought i might have blown a head gasket, but you can tell right away, the temp shoots up to 250 and beyond. and mine doesnt do that, you can also leave the radiator cap off and it will bubble for a little then when the thermostat opens.. it shouldnt over flow or bubble, so i checked..and no bad thermostat.... as for the timing i dont know.. i had it tunned by murrillo motorsports. before N/A H/C/I with a SCT chip, i havent tunned it since the v-2

95% of the time you can hear pre-det. He and I are both running slightlylean, you need more fuel to cool the hot air coming into the cylinders. It's not bad if you're running an FMU in somewhat cool weather on low boost. But in the peak of the summer, I sometimes run a little bit on the hotside.

i had the same issues with my 94 when i put the vortech on it. it was predetanating and running lean. GET THE TUNE. it is most important. i went through 3 sets of headgaskets and finally got it tuned and problem solved.
