Well as for the obvious a custom grind will always be the best cam for your set up. But if your just looking for an off the shelf cam the choice will be limited by the PTV clearance. Areyour pistonsdished, flat top, etc?

submit an online form through compcams etc. They have digital software, to match a cam to put you where YOU want.

For example, after giving all my info, I found that I need a SMALLER lift cam, with a LARGER DURATION profile. 112 split

The exhaust side needs to be 230 and the intake 224 with a intake lift of .498 and exhaust of .520 and a power

range of 1800-5200rpm, valve float 5,700 rpm. Torque and HP will follow VERY CLOSE together, all the way to top end.

and a good-noticeable idle to make it street friendly.
My goal was to pull from stall speed all the way to my rev limit.
The 4:10's sweetned the whole deal

331 stroker + driveable + the best performance = custom cam......you may want to check this alternative .... the best.....IMHO.

couldnt agree any more. I got my custom grind from jay and im extremley happy with it. And as for price its 299 for a SADI core or 399 for a billet core. So your looking at about 50-150 more for a custom grind, to me it was worth it. Im running stock pistons and a cam with .567 lift with tons of PTV clearance. That wouldnt have been possible with an off the shelf cam without notching the pistons
