radiator upgrade
I want to upgrade my radiator in my 93GT, the stock one has been flushed and I installed a 180* stat , water pump works fine, no leaks in system. Stock radiator does still have some crud in it and the car runs hotter than I would like, 205-210*. I'm trying to decide between a single row or double row aluminum radiator, both w/1inch tubes. My car just your basic intake, exhaust, maf,tb,cai, gear upgrades and will probably neversee 300hp. So I'm wondering if the 2 row would be overkill? Would the 1 row drop the temp 10-15* and save me some $$ or should I go 2 row for the extra $$. Oh yeah, I still have the stock clutch fan, which operates fine.

i am actually wondering about the same thing
I would have to change the t stat too is it better to go to a 180 deg one over a stock?
i just put a new water pump in the car
it smells and feels hot but the gueage never gets very highg so the guage might be done too

I had to replace my rad last year, O-Riely has a 2 row HD for about 99.00. I was on a limited budget at the time. If you can swing it, Fluidine makes a great radiator.

RE: radiator upgrade
I know 205-210* is considered normal, but I was trying to free-up a few ponies and run it cooler. I think I will go with the 2row, thanks for the help. In response to Chrisinkw... the stock stat was 195*, meaning it did not open and let coolant circulate through the radiator until the temp reach around 195*, the 180*starts this process at around ...180*, allowing the overall coolant temp to be lower. In my case my radiator has some blockage and I am not getting the full benefit. Lowering the operating temp. of the motor increases its ability to produce power.
