Default Timing issue at Camp Lejeune

What's going on everyone... so my issue is clearly with timing. I had put a new intake and carb on a long time ago when I had some free time. I dropped the dizzy in at tdc with rotor pointing to numero uno and it ran choppy.

Just recently I picked back up on throwing some time in when i get a few hours off work and found it was WAY off timing. pulled the distributor and dropped it back in at tdc only to find out i had the wires on wrong (stupid mistake). now they're on right in correct order and i can't seem to get it to run for anything.

The engine is an 88 5.0 ho with an edelbrock rpm intake, 650dp carb, and msd6al. everything else is stock.

If someone can help me out with this it'd be awesome. Preferably someone near camp lejeune, jacksonville area. Any input is greatly appreciated though as always, thanks everyone.

`Go to your pm and call me. My # is there. If I can't talk you through it, I'll come and fix it. No $, just willing to help. Have a Ram 3500 front end torn apart. Supposed to get correct parts Sat. am. Be done sometime in mid afternoon.

Well, after a lot of long hours and a possible deployment recall i got some time off to work on the car today.

I put some new plugs in, cleaned up the edges of the reluctor wheel and the tabs on the cap. Checked all my wires over and over again. There's power everywhere there needs to be and the grounds are all good. Checked the spark at the plugs all of which have spark.

Still stumped and cant get the car running.. i'm starting to regret ever buying a ford but i know she'll run good once i figure out whatevers denying it from starting.

Maybe someone knows something I don't? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
