powerdyne vs vortech?
im thinking about gettin a supercharger for my 89 lx and im stuck between powerdyne and vortech. i dun know whicj one is better. powerdyne sounds pretty good because ther is no need to drill into the oil pan. so the powerdyne stays cooler and lowers underhood temp.?

Powerdyne was a great fit for me. Good power and cheap to buy. Once I broke it in, it's quiet.
As far as underhood temp goes, it still creates some heat though, but not major... not sure how it compares to the Vortech models.

Well it depends on what kind of supercharger you are talking about.. If you want the most power then its not...but if you want the power and the boost to come quick it is.. The procharger will make more power in the end though.. K/Bs are a totaly different kind of S/C.. I say go with the procharger because they make the most power out of all the S/C expecially the intercooled versions..( 60-100% hp gains)[sm=owned.gif] They also have the best warrenties..Look at this (203% hp gain)...

RE: powerdyne vs vortech?
I suggest going with a twin screw supercharger you will get a level increase in power and, that power will be from idle to redline. With powerdyne or vortech. There is lag, since the air isnt compressed in the supercharger it self its compressed in the intake manifold, it takes longer to create boost. So you feel the power past 3000-3500 rpm. Its kinda like a 2 stroke dirt bike. I suggest a turbo, since you will have the lag just like the powerdyne or vortech. But you wont have any paracitic power loss. So you get more horse power out of it. And you can hit full post at a lower rpm and maintain it through out the rpms. Once the turbos spooled up. But the centrifical supercharger spins with your engine so max boost is at max engine rpm. So each **** the boost goes down along with engine rpm. So basicly go single turbo, or if you have the money twin turbo you will get less of a lag. Or get a root or twin screw supercharger itf you want that power to be constant and not get a power surge at 3000-4000rpm. Forget about powerdyne or vortech. Thats my opinion.
