Default Car Bucking like a real horse!!

So today i went looking around my car for any vacumme hoses that were disconnected, didn't find anything. Then went out for a spin and my car has never done this befor. I would be driving down the road and my rpm would shoot up and down and the car would buck back and forth and want to die. Then i started to smell some fuel, but i got home and everything in the engine was dry. Does any one have any clue what this could be? Any help is greatly appreciated, might sell car.

Thanks,
Steve

sounds like a dirty MAF or bad MAP sensor

Is theMAF in the same spot as the mass air meter. and same with the sensor, cause when looking around there i took everything off and it was clean.

yah the actual sensor inside the mass air housing. should have 2 tiny little wires inside of it. they should be white as a ghost.
if they aren't, they are dirty.

it has something to do with fuel supply, but not directly related to the pump, no.

no you have to undo the intake tubing to be able to see into the MAF. if you are still running the stock MAF, there should be a screen in front of the wires. might make it hard to see them clearly. get a nice bright light.
