Default is it possible?

hey guys whats up? it's been a long time since i've been here but i just bought another stang and i kinda rushed it. i wanted to buy an old 5.0 foxbody and build myself a track car. i bought an 85 5.0 for 1200 which seemed like a good price considering the condition. but i rushed and bought it too fast and now i'm stuck with a carburated (85) 5.0 (it was listed as an 86 and after i signed it over i noticed it was an 85). i wanted to convert it fuel injected since all the performance equipment is geared towards the FI. any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated on the process or if it's even possible. thanks.

you understand that all 302 parts will work with that engine right? youve got basically 3 decades of performance parts..

keep it carb'd budy.

all the performance parts work fine on it too.
just get better carb and intake and heads and all that crap.

If you want boost, you just get a "blow carb" made for boost.

I like the FI idea. Easier to tune, more efficient, safer. It might be more expensive, but that would be the only way I would go. If money isn't a huge issue, buy an AEM fuel management sys and get it tuned by someone who obviously knows what they are doing. IMO, that's the best way to go. You can run massive injectors and balance it to however you want ie boosted, nitrous, etc. Go for it.
