Horn Got Stuck!!....
A few days ago I noticed my horn was REALLY sensitive, so I hit it a few times by mistake...and then I hit it on purpose to show my cousin how sensitive it was and it stayed on!!! I had to unplug it (near the front left headlight). Tomorrow I plan on brining it in for a Safety inspection, and obviously that needs to be working....how can I fix this? what could cause it? Thanks

RE: Horn Got Stuck!!....
what year mustang??? if it has an air bag and the little buttons you remove theair bag to access plug in's and pop buttons out....however if it's the old style with the round button in the center you can pop off the horn button....that style usually does what your describing because the two horn plates are seperated by a thin layer of foam and the foam deteriorates and allows contact sounding the horn......at the time no one was reproducing these a few years ago and everyone wanted an arm and a leg for a used one and it was a discontinued item at dealer....so what I did was take the button apart and found a piece of foam the same thickness as original (very thin hard to find) and spent the time to cut out all the little contact holes and glued it to the contact surface and it was as good as new and works awesome to this day still!!!

get yourself one of those $1 sponges from walmart cut you about 1/2" of it in a circle and put you a hole in the middle put it inbetween the two copper plates for the horn button and voila its fixed!
