I have 3.73 in my 89 gt auto, and love them. I run about 2400rpm at 70mph. When I had 4.10 I would be running about 3100rpm at 70, to high of rpm for me on the high way. The 4.10 were better off the line but after I hit second gear I like the 3.73 more. just my 2 cents.

While we're talking about gears...how hard is to actually swap gears out? I know with the supra I used to own I had diff. that I swaped out. But how hard is with a solid rear axle? is it eaiser to swap the axles?

btw in my supra 4.10 were ok but I really loved the 4.30! 5th Gear in the supra was like .4 so Hwy driving was ok cruise at about 3.5K @ 70mph.

is your speedo gear changed,cause i think your o.d. is running faster,cause of it

I just took out my stock 3.08's with wich I was getting about 205 Miles to the tank, and I don't do a lot of freeway traveling, but I do go to the track often. I just put a set of 4.10's in and my car gained about 50Miles to the tank. Now I get around 255 Miles to the tank, and the car is a blast to drive. Acceleration in 5th gear is excellent! When before there was no acceleration in 5th. At highway speeds (80MPH) I am only at about 2600-2700 RPM VERY VERY Withstandable.

They were an awesome upgrade for me, but like I said all cars react differently, and do so because of driving styles. I had heard of people being disappointed with their 3.73's but have never heard of anyone being disappointed with their 4.10's... Hope this helps with your decision.
