hey guys i went to take a look at an 81 hatchback. the car was a orriginal 4 banger but the owner worked at ford and he dropped a 302 into it. it has a 4bb holley on it and it says 4bb 302 on the air cleaner. what does this engine make for HP and tq, do you guys think it would be one of those 175 hp promo engine?

does it have the aluminum ford 4bbl intake? those are gonna be worth something one day, but the ports are really small and they suck ***** for making power

no the intake was swapped to an edelbrock and the carb might have been but doesn't look like it.

So, basically he swapped in an unknown 302 with a 83-85 aircleaner setup?

you'll have to get the block number and casting number off the heads but any late 70's 302 or early 80's 302 is really nothing to rave about...low compression and suck ace heads
