ORIGINAL: FullAuto

ORIGINAL: FASTBLACK
I am almost over drawn just reading it.
Not just the money, but the mismatch of parts. It looks like someone has been looking into what cool parts are but has no understanding of how it all goes together.
To funny man!!!!!!

Do you want a $10k motor, or do you wanna run 12's? I mean c'mon, I practically run 12's with mine, the only reason I don't is my gearing blows and the clutch slips a bit off the line. Once that's fixed, hopefully next season it'll be high 12's, on a n/a daily driven 302 with street tires. A $10k budget should at LEAST get you well into the 11's. So do you wanna spend money or do you wanna go fast? You could just build a nice blown 302/stroker then throw the rest of the $$$ into chassis/drivetrain stuff. It'll run 12's EASY on pump gas and you could drive it every day if you want

So, to clarify a little bit, I just have a budget of about 10k to spend, but I need to get all the supporting mods, and also have to pay someone to install it, tune it etc. I would never spend 10k on just motor, because it would be more motor than I would ever want. Im leaning towards maybe a built 306 with a turbo. I know it wont take much to touch 12's. I'll clarify on that too. I don't want to hit a 12.98. I want a daily driver that can run 12 flat and drive comfortable when I'm not smashing the gas. At the same time, I won't complain if I go 11's, but that's not my goal. I need suggestions on tranny, and other supporting suspension mods. I already have an eibach prokit, kyb gas shocks, upper and lower rear control arms.

Forged 306 short block ........ $1,700
someone to assemble it with your heads/intake and install it ........... $1,000
Turbo kit ....................... $3,000
Fuel system ............... $1,000
Chasis upgrades (subframes, control arms & torque box kit ) ........... $1,000 installed
Centerforce dual friction clutch ............. $300
Tremec TKO 600 5 speed trans with new bellhousing ............ $2,000

Another $1,000 for install and tune ................... $1,000

Total ........................................... $10,000-11,000

give you brand new drivetrain including trans and solid chasis mods to hold it.
easily make in the mid 400's rwhp and run 11's or better all day long.

^^ looks good to me, how about you. This would be a reasonable build to get you in the 11's. Good power, suspension, and dricetrain. Have fun with the build.

all you need is a 347 kit and your heads and intake. with slicks you will be around 12 flat if you can drive.
i have a buddy thats runs 12.7 with a 347 kit and stock heads and intake. he as 3.73 and a c-4 with a 2800 stall. thats all on radials.
