Default What cam is good for stock engine with 3angle valve job?

I'm thinking of a mild cam for my engine, i'm rebuilding my 5.0L and its bored .40 over with 3angle valve job. Other than that and a cold air, the enigne is stock so I dont think I should get anything too aggressive, but which one should I get? P.S. I would like to use my same lifters.

1990 Mustang GT

Thanks,

what heads did you do the valve job to? if the stock heads, go with the stock cam. stock heads even with a port job suck. e cam is nice too

ehh, throw in the e-cam. youll gain some hp, sligtly better then stock. will sound better at idle too. tell your dad 40 over doesnt mean jack. all you got from that was clean cylinder walls and 5-6 extra cubes

summit, jegs, ebay. they will all have it.

keep in mind they do make better cams but none of which would be benificial running on the stock heads. if you dont have rockers yet, try some 1.7's instead of the stock 1.6. youll pick up a little more power because the 1.7's will add some lift to the ecam

Alright, well i'm just gunna pick up that E-cam, I know its hard to say but how much HP do you think i'll get from the cam, and i'm guessing you know something about gears so are 4.10 gears the way to go? they hard to install, will the change be dramatic?

Any upgrade in the cam dept.......requires an upgrade in the valve train dept, so you need to add that as well.

I have a new, never used f-cam for sale. I bought it from summit a few months ago, then decided to go with a 351 block. I live in ga. Let me know if interested.

forgot to mention this before but this would be a good time to upgrade the timing chain. not sure if you were planning on using the stock one or not.
