What's going on guys? I'm usually found in the 4.6 section, but I have a question pertaining to SN95 5.0L GT and Cobra. What are the differences between the '94-'95GT and Cobra engine?I know the Cobra has the GT-40 heads and abetterupper and lower intake. Is that all? Someone wants me to drop a Cobra engine out of a '95 Cobra into his '95 GT. Would it be worth just swapping the heads and intake? I was going to charge him 8 hours labor to swap the engine, but now I'm not so sure. 4.6 engine swaps are pretty easy so I'm guessing the 5.0 swap would be the same, if not easier. Thanks for the help, guys...

and as far as i know... dont quote me tho... intake, heads, possible cam differance, 1.7 rockers, 24lb injectors and maf..... thats all i know of for sure.... and i think the cam is diff, but not possitive... other ppl will know

the injectors maf, sensor,and computer a different also. just take his carand send him some where for 8 hours. then switch the head, intake, injectors, maf sensor, and computer. then sit on your *** till he comes back and charge him the 8 hours of labor.

just to do head gaskets labor time is 8.8 that won't include transfer of all necessary sensors and replacement of computer and perform a idle relearn....it's been my experience with doing mod work it usually takes 1.5 times what the labor guide says for stock replacement because there are always little things you run into not mentioned and no two mods that come into my shop are ever the same in a row so it's hard to get quick on the samething in a row. I'd bump up your time to cover yourself a little more.
