i just got a 93 gt with 30 k miles in near showroom condition no problems whatsoever ... ive had the car for about 3 weeks ... this morning i noticed the dome and hatch lights on .. can anyone explain this ? the car has the factory alarm and in the last 2 days the batteries died <not my car battery the alarm battery on the key chain >..can it be because the car thinks the alarm is not activated ??? any ideas at all ??? i disconnected the negative battery cable this morning so the battery didnt die ...

i didn't know they came with alarms then.

umm.. you know the little dash light dimmer wheel? well if you turn it until it clicks the interior lights come on.
check that. or one of your door jamb switches is messed up.

I just did a search on ALL DATA and under accessories and optional equiptment where there normally is listed anti theft and alarms there is nothing.....are you sure it's a factory installed unit as the key chain usually has the little pony emblem on it??? as for the interior lights staying on it could be related to the keyless entry mode so the interior lights come on when you hit the unlock button to illuminate entry if in fact that is the case with the alarm if not check your door switches
